Our Mission Statement

Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley helps members of our community successfully meet the challenges of daily life by providing quality human services.

Our Vision

Jewish Family Services ensures that children, adults, and families in our community have access to affordable, relevant, professional services. These services ensure that needs are met with dignity and thoughtfulness.

Our Objectives

JFS identifies the needs of individuals and families in Santa Clara County and provides a range of social services to help them thrive.  The agency’s programs are available to members of the general community without regard to race, religion, ethnicity or ability to pay.  Our agency’s overall objectives are:

  • Clients will receive access to information and resources.
  • Families and individuals (including seniors and Holocaust survivors) will receive supportive counseling and crisis intervention.
  • Émigrés and refugees will be integrated into the larger community.
  • Adults, youth and community groups will have a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities for community service.
  • Clients in need will receive comprehensive vocational counseling (and related services) and job placement.
