Development Director

JFS SV is seeking a full-time Development Director to strategically develop, implement and analyze our fundraising efforts.

Your job responsibilities include donor development, corporate giving, event planning and community relations.  You must be friendly, detail-oriented, analytical and highly organized; and have a passion for helping people have better lives.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.  We offer flexible hours in a pleasant office environment and excellent benefits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.A or B.S. degree

  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible nonprofit development experience

  • Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, setting priorities and completing assignments in a timely manner

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software

  • Ability to interact effectively with Board of Directors

  • Ability to be flexible and perform with grace and humor under pressure

Part-Time To Life! Activity Coordinator
JFS SV is seeking a part-time To Life! Activity Coordinator for our program with Chai House Senior Living Community.

The To Life! Activity Coordinator will improve the quality of life for Chai House seniors, promoting independent living through social and recreational activities. You will create ongoing, as well as, special activities that seniors will enjoy. This position is highly collaborative, working with a variety of groups and organizations. The Activity Coordinator will also interface with Chai House office personnel to help as needed regarding a resident’s well-being.

You must be confident, friendly, highly organized and a self-starter, with great interpersonal skills. A strong love and respect for older adults is required. Solid written and verbal communication skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office are also required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least two years prior activity planning experience
  • At least two years experience working with older adults
