Senior Services Social Worker
JFS SV is seeking a Full-Time Senior Services Social Worker for a new care partnership with Chai House Senior Living Community as well as for our JFS SV Home Care Services.

Your job responsibilities include conducting outreach, intake and assessment; case management; and supportive individual and group counseling. You will develop care plans, maintain professional relationships with older adults and their loved ones, and provide advocacy as appropriate.

You must be confident, friendly, highly organized and a self-starter, with great “people skills.” Strong written and verbal communication skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office are required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or Gerontology

  • At least two years prior case management and counseling experience

  • At least two years experience working with older adults

Full-Time Development Director
JFS SV is seeking a Full-Time Development Director to strategically develop, implement and analyze our fundraising efforts.

Your job responsibilities include donor development, corporate giving, event planning and community relations.  You must be friendly, detail-oriented, analytical and highly organized; and have a passion for helping people have better lives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.A or B.S. degree

  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible nonprofit development experience

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software

  • Ability to interact effectively with Board of Directors

Summer Internship
We are seeking a college student interested in non-profit management, program development volunteer engagement, and social media to work with JFS’ Department of Volunteer Engagement.

The internship will be focused on supporting ongoing volunteer engagement as well as coordinating events and community drives.  Areas of focus include our YA-Live! Group for young adults, Equipped to Learn Backpack Drive and emergency food assistance.
  Qualified applicants should have prior social media and event organizing experience – and a “can do” attitude.


The internship is 15-20 hours per week at our offices in Los Gatos. Hours are flexible throughout the months of June through August, and include typical business hours with some evening and weekend work.
