Programs & Services

Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley provides our local community with quality human services and programs in the areas of counseling and crisis assistance, career counseling and employment services, senior services, Holocaust survivor support, refugee resettlement, emigré support, and volunteer opportunities for all ages.

Our JFS staff are seasoned professionals who combine contemporary clinical and social service skills with traditional values to strengthen and enhance the lives of our clients, whatever challenges they may face. JFS serves clients without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, or ability to pay.

Last year, Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley enhanced the lives of over 6,700 people. We are very proud of our accomplishments.

Counseling and Emergency Services

JFS provides individual and family counseling for parents and their children, both onsite and at local Jewish schools. JFS also provides emergency intervention services to children, adults, and families during times of crisis or transition.

Career Counseling and Employment Services

JFS offers a range of employment related counseling and English language training programs to assist recent Israeli émigrés and refugees in finding jobs with local employers.

Project SAFE

The Secure Alternatives For Elders Registry [SAFE] is operated by Jewish Family Services for the purpose of matching our clients who are in need of assistance in the home, with people in the community who can provide these services. Holocaust Survivor Support

JFS provides a broad range of support services for over 160 local Holocaust survivors and their families; to assist in maintaining their financial, emotional, and physical well-being.

  • Home visits and homemaker assistance

Refugee Resettlement and Émigré Programs

JFS provides resettlement support services, English and citizenship training, and community connection to hundreds of refugees and émigrés who have recently arrived in Silicon Valley.

  • Jewish holiday celebrations and social integration
  • Russian Jewish War Veterans connections and support

JFS produces a Russian Language newsletter to facilitate communication about the agency and to help émigrés communicate with each other.
