Dear Friends,
I’m still carrying the energy of Good Day JFS, and I am incredibly grateful to our donors, the JFS team, board members, and community members for making it a memorable day. We had 500 guests at the luncheon, united by a shared commitment to our Jewish values: repairing the world, welcoming the stranger, and respect and dignity for every person. I’m thrilled to share that thanks to the tremendous generosity of our community, we exceeded our goal and raised more than $500,000 to help strengthen and sustain our work.
I’m appreciative of Sheryl Sandberg, technology executive, philanthropist, and writer, for joining Scott Budman, NBC Bay Area anchor, for an insightful discussion. They spoke about the importance of courage, compassion, and creating space for hard conversations to find a way forward, especially in today’s uncertain and divided world.
At JFS, those conversations connect directly to the work we do every day. The needs in our community continue to grow, and sustaining these services requires all of us working together.
Because of your support, we can continue providing critical services, connections, and care to individuals and families across Silicon Valley. I hope you take a moment to watch the video created for this year’s event, which captures the diverse voices of the community we serve. It's their messages that help illuminate how much your support of JFS makes on the lives of those who need us most.
With gratitude
Susan Frazer, LCSW
