Donor Spotlight: Audrey and Larry Fox

For Audrey and Larry Fox, giving back has always been part of who they are. Both have deep roots in the Jewish community and a longstanding commitment to strengthening it through philanthropy and service. Whether they're filling and delivering holiday food bags, opening their home to bring JFS supporters together, or lending a hand at events throughout the year, they consistently answer the call whenever help is needed. Their generosity and dedication make a meaningful difference in the community.

Q: What first inspired you to become connected to JFS Silicon Valley?

A: We first became involved during the COVID-19 pandemic by volunteering to package and deliver meals. It was a simple but meaningful way to help people during a difficult time. We were especially touched by the opportunity to support holocaust survivors, and that experience opened our eyes to the breadth of JFS’s work and the compassion with which it serves our community.

Q: What is it about JFS’s work that feels most meaningful to you?

A: We appreciate the way JFS supports individuals and families through life’s challenges. Whether it’s helping immigrants build new lives, assisting families facing difficult circumstances, or providing services that allow older adults to age with dignity and independence, it is meaningful to us that JFS is there when people need it most.

Q: When you think about the impact of your giving, what do you hope it makes possible for the people JFS serves?

A: We hope our gifts help expand programs that provide essential services, connection, and hope for people in our local community. We are grateful to be able to help make that possible.

Q: Why is giving back to the community important to you?

A: Giving back is one of our core values. We believe it is important to share both our time and our resources to strengthen the community in which we live. Supporting JFS is a meaningful way for us to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Q: Just for fun: What book is on your nightstand, or what show are you currently watching?

A: We are currently watching Unconditional on Apple TV+. On the nightstand are Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth and Returning: A Search for Home Across Three Centuries by Nicholas Lemann.
