From Eviction to Stability: Surrounding Clients With Services To Succeed

Aaron, a single parent raising three young children, faced a situation that quickly put his world into a spiral, one no one plans for. Balancing work, childcare, and the constant pressure to provide, he reached a point of exhaustion that set off a chain of events that left him behind on rent and without utilities.

Referred to JFS through his healthcare provider, Aaron found more than just one solution; he found a path forward.

His case manager, Jane, worked with him to create a practical plan and surrounded him with the support he needed to stabilize. Through our CalAIM program, which helps people on MediCal, JFS helped cover back rent and restore utilities, ensuring Aaron and his children could remain in their home. He was also connected to food support and given tools to better manage his finances.

Today, Aaron is back on his feet, working, healthy, and caring for his children with stability and confidence.
