Letter From CEO

Updated: Apr 26, 2023

Dear Friends,

April is Volunteer Recognition Month when we celebrate the many volunteers who give their time and skills to make a positive impact on our community. Whether it's delivering food packages to homebound older adults, providing transportation for refugees, or helping with administrative tasks, our volunteers are always willing to go the extra mile to make a difference in the lives of others. None of what we do would be possible without their dedication and support. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization, and display JFS SV's values in their commitment to supporting our community, providing compassionate care to those in in need, and empowering the clients we serve to live with dignity, hope and independence.

As we look to the future, we know that volunteers will continue to be essential to our work. The needs of our community will evolve and change, and we will need volunteers who are dedicated, compassionate, and flexible to meet those needs. We also know that volunteering is not just about meeting the needs of our community, but also about building connections, developing skills, and living out ones values. Volunteering is a way to make a difference, to be part of something larger than ourselves, and to create a better world.

This month, and every month, we express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for all that our volunteers do to repair the world and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Warm regards,

Susan

CEO
